I found this book very engaging. I think it’s a good look at the beginning and growth of the equestrian world in Iran before the revolution. Royalty makes an appearance and the military structure plays a strong part in the running of the imperial stables. While Gail Rose Thompson was engaged as trainer for the stables of the Imperial Court she had an entree into what life was like for the upper and privileged class at work and at play. She experienced the frustrations of a woman entering a male dominated profession and society. When given the chance to ride into the mountains she found beauty in the natural landscape of the country. Gail Rose Thompson showed me a picture of Iran so very different from what I have seen in the news coverage of the last years. It was a good read.

Overall a cute little read.

Full figured women meets rugged cowboy on a dude ranch. This story involved two characters Danielle and Owen who are total opposites. They say opposites attract and they were not kidding with this one.

Danielle was sent to her parents dude ranch to learn some responsibility and grow up. Let's just say she got more than she bargained for with Owen, her father foreman son. This story had spanking, crying, temper tantrums', and who lot more that will make you either laugh or want to hit the female character yourself.

OK book, but not a sole source...

I found the book to contain too many errors, and the writing style was not user friendly (The book did not flow well). This book tries to cover many topics; some topics are covered very well, others fall far short. I do not recommend this book to anyone who is looking for solid reference guide. There are too many actual good books available out there.

Easy to read

I ordered the digital version of this book directly from Colette Patterns, along with the skirt & dress knit patterns. I've been sewing for awhile but I've never attempted knits before. I use a regular Janome sewing machine (no serger or coverstitch). This book is so readable that I finished it in two days! Thanks to the clear, easy to follow instructions I've already made version 3 of the skirt pattern in Ponte knit... And it's even wearable on the first try! ;) I highly recommend The Colette Guide to Sewing Knits. It opens up a whole new fun & easy way to sew wearable garments.

Perfect book for beginners and those new to knits!

I am not new to sewing, but new to sewing knits and this book is an excellent resource. The book has an entire chapter devoted to choosing the right knits for a particular project and what to look for when purchasing knit fabric. This is especially helpful as knits are definitely different than wovens and choosing the correct type of fabric (ie drape, stretch, etc) makes a world of difference in how the final garment fits.

The author also explains the basics of loading the threads in a typical overlock machine (serger) along with tips for sewing with knits on a conventional machine. The photos are very clear and provide a step by step process.

I absolutely recommend this book to anyone that wants to be a better sewer with knits!

Fantastic! Experienced or Beginner, BUY this book!!

I have been sewing for a couple of years and love knits. There are certain things I have had trouble with and this book answers my issues in such a clear way. I love the in depth discussion of knowing the types of knit and there are so many special instructions that I am sewing like crazy again. On a side note, Colette Patterns has new patterns for knits and the Moneta dress is simply fabulous. I have hundreds of patterns and I think this is my favorite. Worth every penny!

Nicely written and interesting book on the White - tailed Deer in the state of Texas. Nice black and white photos of the deer and hunters .

Excellent reference and nice authors

This is a great reference book for anyone interested in range management and wildlife. I would highly recommend this book. The co-authors of this book are very dedicated to the preservation of wildlife. I am proud to consider them both friends of mine. Thank you for the good work.

Daddy paying for college?

This book is not for hunters, ranchers, wildlife lovers, or sportsman. It's written by and for over educated idiots. The only reason I continue to hack through this textbook is for the raw information, some of which is new and fascinating to me.
