A great read! A truly inspiring and uplifting book about turning a painful situation into a positive outcome.

Truly an inspiring and uplifting book that is refreshing -- if you're looking for people to blame, wallowing in self-pity, existing in victimhood, this book is not for you. However, if you believe in positivity and empowerment, this is a great read! It's a book about making lemonade out of lemons, of dealing with yet another challenge that life deals us, turning that challenge into a solution, and creating an opportunity for growth.
"From Ex to Extraordinary" is a quick read, one you can peruse at your leisure in a coffee shop or snuggle up with it before you to to bed. Part memoir, part practical advice -- moreover, I found it interesting coming from a North American Muslim Woman's perspective, as this is not a perspective we hear much.
While I imagine this book -- a short read -- will serve as the foundation for a long-from book, I look forward to the next installment. Overall, the book was insightful, introspective and a great effort by a first-time author. Further, it should be noted, while Fatima presents her perspective as a Muslim woman going through divorce, the themes and lessons are universal.
